Piano Julius Kreutzbach

Julius Kreutzbach (1845-1913) was born in Borna, a village near
Leipzig (Germany). He was the youngest of three sons of the
famous organmanufacturer Urban Kreutzbach (1796 – 1868).

At an early age Julius immersed himself in the world of piano
technique. To enhance his knowledge and experience he worked
at several piano manufactures in Germany.

In 1874 he established himself as independent piano manufacturer
in Leipzig by the name of: Julius Kreutzbach Hof-Pianoforte-Fabrik Leipzig.

The acknowledgement of purveyor to the royal household was obtained by Julius in 1895 because he exclusively provided the Grand Duke of Saksen-Weimar and the Duke of Anhalt. Weimar used to be a republic in the present Thüringen and Anhalt is situated in the east-german federal state Saksen-Anhalt.
