Sounboard
Sustainable, handmade soundboard of Sitka Spruce (wood) from Alaska. Because of the natural drying process of the Sitka Spruce in combination with the special structure of the soundboard, it cannot burst and has a long lifespan.
Backside of the soundboard
Instead of the regular construction on the backside of the soundboard the JULIUS KREUTZBACH UP-133 has a so called X-frame. The X-frame makes the piano extremely strong and rigid. This construction is only used by exclusive handmade pianos.
Strings
German Röslau wire and (Japanese) Suzuki string steal together produce a refine and graceful sound.
Build in 17 layers and suitable for different climates.
Action
Hammerheads covered with 100 percent German blue felt. Quickly repeating.
Keyboard
The keys are made of layered wood compressed under high pressure. This process avoids distortion and bending and guarantees the sustainability of the keys. The white keys are equipped with synthetic (artificial) ivory and the black keys are satin finished for a comfortable touch. The weight of every key is measured separately and corrected with lead to get uniformity. This guarantees the best touché.
Keyboard cover
Slow Fall function. The Slow Fall system on the fall board protects sudden and hard closing. This prevents damage to the fall board and hands.
Pedals
Soft, practice and sustain, copper coloured.
Wheels
Double bearing wheels in copper colour.
